Azurites from Lavrion usually come in tiny little crystals, no more than 1-2 mm long. This piece is an exception from a superb recent find and hosts a highly lustrous, 2.2cm crystal! The crystal shows translecency when backlit and glows in an electric blue color. About half of it is covered with fine green brochantite and the matrix it rests upon, hosts cute contrasting radiating aggregates of malachite. The crystal is terminated and the upper part of it is contacted but there is no damage there.
