Azurites from Lavrion usually come in tiny little crystals, no more than 1-2 mm long. This piece is an exception from a superb recent find and hosts a highly lustrous, 2cm crystal! The quality is by far, the best we have ever seen in Greek azurite. The luster is the highest possible, the azurite is gemmy and it glows in electric blue color when backlit. It is associated with dark green & lustrous brochantite. There are bits of matrix here and there but no damage. A great thumbnail of azurite from Greece.
