From the geology and history of the spot this specimen came from, we know it formed as copper leaves. It was found in 2018, in the Christiana mine, near the legendary "Kupferkluft". Although its initial composition changed inside the pocket, much of its copper content is still present and most of the piece is cuprite with copper enriched minerals on it such as the cuprian adamite and zincolivenite. The aragonite was deposited last and is a beautiful touch on this fine & rich specimens from Christiana. ex. John Stefanopoulos Collection (we are selling the piece on consignment with the collector, no discounts can be applied on its price).
