This is an excellent, cabinet-sized example of this type of pseudomorph from Lavrion, Greece. I have to note that many of these pseudos finally turned out to be just goethite after selenite and not a manganese oxide after selenite. However, this one has something different on it when compared to the pseudos that turned out to be goethite. The previous, misidentified pseudos were mostly dark brown to brown-orange. This one has a metallic gray to black color, shows luster and is heavier than usual which points to manganese content (not analyzed).
