Description:

This find of smithsonites with several associated minerals from the Exi mine, is one of my favorites from Lavrion. The smithsonites have color, luster and most importantly are crystalline, a very rare characteristic for Greek smithsonite. The associated minerals can only add to the value and beauty of the specimens. Those are selections from a unique recent find that is highly sought after by all Lavrion collectors! Most are gorgeous without the need of magnification but the details are wonderful if you take the time to study those pieces. Beautiful mineralogy! Fine miniature with vivid green crystals of smithsonite and contrasting tufts of blue aurichalcite on them. The rest of the piece hosts a light bluish unidentified mineral that covers most of it. I can also spot pseudomorphs of malachite after azurite on the left edge and probably some tiny little crystals of cerussite.
