Description
This specimen hosts the highest quality of Greek smithsonite that I have ever seen. The most important fact here is that we have crystals not botryoids or blobs of smithsonite. The luster and color and superb and also the translucency (mostly in the upper/central part of the specimen), this is almost like green gem silica when lit properly. Only very very few specimens from the find showed such a quality and this is the biggest/richest one. The upper/back part is contacted but this is as good as it got from the find! In terms of association there are plenty of other minerals involved: aurichalcite, malachite after azurite, hemimorphite, azurite & more. From my personal collection, #292.
