Our Shipping policy
- How we ship
Our standard shipping method is the Greek post office (ELTA). We ship everything with a tracking number. Some countries (like Canada and Australia) do not support tracking updates though. Please check with your country’s post office about this issue. Upon request, we can ship using a courier. However, international courier services are quite expensive in Greece. Please contact us to get a quote for you.
- Shipping Times
We try to ship out all orders within 3 business days. Packages shipped with our standard method usually take about 5-7 business days to arrive to their destination.
- Insurance
To keep the cost of shipping low, we do not pay insurance to the post office. Insurance costs about 10% of the insured value. However, we will refund you in case your package is lost or your minerals arrive damaged. Read more in our Return/Refund policy.
- How we pack
Each specimen is packed in its own unique way. It is in our best interest for the specimen(s) to arrive to you intact. We use a variety of materials depending on the nature of each specimen.
- Tracking
We will provide you with a tracking number for your order as soon as we ship it!
- Special Requests
If you have special requests for your order (i.e. shipping with a courier or declared value), please contact us or leave a note with your order.
- Custom fees/Delays
We have no responsibility on fees and/or delays by your country’s customs.
- Free Shipping
If your order is shipped for free, it is shipped with the post office, tracked as usual. You cannot have free shipping with a courier.
- Special Items
Special Items require special treatment and packing. A big, fragile specimen might have to be shipped on a pallet. There will be more info in such a specimen’s description.
- Shipping Costs
The costs are calculated in the checkout section of your order. They vary depending in the current post office’s prices and on the volume and weight of the minerals you order.
