Description
This is an excellent bournonite specimen from this classic Greek locality. Bournonites from Chalkidiki, rarely have any luster at all, and are almost always full of cracks and damages. This crystal is in much better condition than most I have seen and quite large for the standards of Chalkidiki, with interesting form. It has a contact spot that I photographed but this is about as good as it gets from Greece, at least in the past decades. It sits on contrasting whitish quartz and is associated with golden pyrite crystals. From my personal collection, #78.
