Description

This is an interesting and rare quartz specimen from Crete. The form is not your classic, typical gwindel. All quartz crystals from this pocket had extremely short prism faces and unusual, rectangular shapes, with a few of them being “Gwindels”. There is a slight twist and no faden and although it is questionable whether they are 100% gwindels or not, this is a bizarre, unusual and rare form of quartz. This particular specimen ranks among the top 5 from the pocket.
