During the past decade, we have had a series of smithsonite finds of quite good quality. This piece comes from a new find that surpasses all previous ones and offers some fantastic Greek specimens. Some of those pieces even compete with some Kelly mine smithsonites. This is one of the largest, interesting specimens, museum-sized plate, with very interesting formation and colors, it looks like a painting to me. it has bluish to bluish-greenish color with "waves" of white and little dendrites scattered across the specimen. The luster is good and there are nice and interesting formations on the display sides that add relief to it. A great European Classic smithsonite.
