Description:

A killer miniature of Greek smithsonite. The piece is composed of a dark gossan matrix with a partial layer of white hydrozincite and a quite isolated, large ball of crystalline smithsonite with very high luster! Because of the luster and color, locals call this "Silver Smithsonite". This is not all. The piece also hosts rounded rhombohedral crystals of smithsonite on the side, adding more to this superb Greek smithsonite. A few clear calcite crystals are present too! This piece comes from older finds in the mid 20s probably around 2006.
