Description

Crystallized, lustrous, apple-green smithsonite from mine #6 in Lavrion. This is an excellent smithsonite from Greece for the crystal form, color and overall appeal. It probably is an ecrustation pseudomorph after fluorite, meaning that it had been deposited on fluorite that was later dissolved naturally, leaving a crust of crystallized smithsonite. At any case, this is a fine piece! Collection #237.
